Who am I?

         Hi everyone! A brief summary of who I am. My name is Maria Mendez. I am a freshmen, Government major minoring in English.Also, I am currently completing a Bridging Disciplines Program focusing on Ethics and Leadership. I hope to go to law school in the future, although I do not know what type of law I would like to study. I am not completely sure on what project interest I want, but whatever I receive will definitely be exciting. Furthermore, I hope to start a non-profit organization that will benefit others, whether that is in the United States and/or in other third world countries. I am from a small town in Ingram, Texas, where there are about 2,000 people. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and I love doing volunteer work and community service. I am in a bunch of different clubs here on campus, such as Headliners,Mexican American Culture Committee, University Leadership Network etc. Moreover, this is my first time flying in a airplane, so that's going to be thrilling. In perspective, I enjoy the wide variety of different activities that Austin has to offer and I love the atmosphere that surrounds our campus!
